Summery
Kitten finds a big full moon in the sky. She does not know what it is. To her, it looks like a big bowl of milk. She tries to pursue it. She opens her mouth to lick the moon, but it turns out to be many bugs on the tongue. She jumps to the moon. However, she tumbles. Then, she seek the moon by sidewalk, garden, field, pound, up the tree and finds there are a bigger bowl of milk in the pound. She jumps out and becomes wet. Poor kitten. Finally, she goes back home. There is a bowl of milk waiting for her. Lucky kitten.

This book just uses white and black to show the whole story. Thought it does not colorful, it still catches my eyes. First, the title, kitten’s first moon, shows this story talking about the cat pursuing the moon. However, I do not guess the kitten sees the moon as a bowl of milk. Second, its drawing is very cute such as the facial expressions, the kitten’s doubt and the ending of the pursuit of moon. After a long, tired pursuit of the bowl of milk but in vain, there is a bowl of milk waiting for the kitten in the family. It seems like the kitten’s adventure is useless and stupid. Nevertheless, for kitten, it must be the most wonderful trip and the bowl of the milk must be the most delicious. The most important is not the ending but the process. Furthermore, the more you pay out, the more you cherish.
