This book is different form the Snow White I read in my childhood. It takes place in the modern New York rather than the old-fashioned castle. Some plots have changed. For example, the mirror becomes the newspaper. The prince turns to be a reporter. The seven dwarfs become the seven jazz-men. The most important, the poison apple is the cheery on the cocktail. These are so amazing that I think that maybe the Snow White can take place in modern times. To me, it does not break up my sweet memory in my childhood. A men save Snow White but he is not a prince. It is because Snow White is not a princess in this book. However, they still fall in love with each other. It refers that the sweet love can be found in normal lives not just in fairy tales.
